SIMON FAIRFAX – International best-selling author is heading to Evesham.
Exciting news is that Simon Fairfax, historical fiction writer will be coming to the Evesham Medieval Market next weekend, for a meet and greet with existing fans of his fabulous work and hopefully many new ones. He will have plenty of copies of the first book in the series so you can have a personally signed copy.
Having been brought up brought up on tales of Robin Hood, King Arthur etc., not to mention films such as The Black Shield of Falworth, Simon feels he has a romantic soul and love this era of English history – set in the middle of the Hundred Years War under the stewardship of Henry IV and V.
Yet it was not just the tales of battles, but the stories of intrigue that appealed to Simon.
He comments on his work: “So, I have gone back a few centuries from my first series to write about a period of history that I love, with in-depth research over many months of social mores, language, laws and facts from the period, bringing together my knowledge of horses and weapons.
